How did Labour manage to stuff it to the Tories AND the Lib Dems?

How did Labour manage to stuff it to the Tories AND the Lib Dems (and fellow reformers) - at such short notice?

It was very clever - in much the same way as a certain group who flew planes into two buildings in NY was very clever.  Morally of course it stinks.

The Fair Voting amendment voted down 476 to 69 last night.

Of course it puts Fair Voting back a decade - or more.

Now there are two dust-clouds between the British people and Fair Voting a) the expenses scandal and b) AV

Labour strategists must be cock-a-hoop.

No Martin Bell expenses aren't the real corruption.  The real corruption is the mentality that gives rise to 476 Labour and Tory MPs voting against Fair Voting. 

What is their real agenda? 

Is it something like 'f*** social justice - we want power and privilege at any price'!
